Lac La Biche Welcomes the World
On Behalf of Archery Canada and as Chair of the Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the 2024 World Archery Field Championships to be held in Lac La Biche, Alberta – Canada Sept 16-22, 2024, I would like to invite you all to be part of one of the most important Field archery events to take place in the North America in 2024. This championship event will start at the beautiful Herb Erickson Archery Field, nestled in the beautiful boreal forest, and end with finals overlooking the shores of Lac la Biche Lake at the Golf and Country Club.
Lac La Biche is situated on the cusp of the Continental Divide in northeastern Alberta. It is a wild and relatively untouched area with over 150 lakes, verdant forests, and abundant wildlife. There is a wide range of natural assets and unique cultural attractions that offer visitors the opportunity to create truly memorable experiences.
Archers of the world already know that Lac La Biche is also a location where magnificent archery events can be staged. The town and its community successfully hosted the 2019 World Archery 3D Championships. Participants from more than 25 countries have enjoyed the experience of shooting in our country. Those who joined us previously will certainly want to come back and be our best ambassadors to advertise our 2024 event among the rest of the athletes of the world.The motto of the Lac La Biche community is ‘Welcoming by Nature’, and we can’t wait to ‘Welcome the World’.

Looking for a rustic experience? Have a larger group who wants to stay together?
Experience the comforts of home while enjoying the beauty of Alberta's only island provincial park. Our cabins are lakefront sites on Lac La Biche, close to trails. All cabins are insulated, hard walled and have spacious floorplans that have 2 bedrooms and sleep 6 adults.
All Cabins are equipped with: heater, fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker and toaster, pots, pans, dishes, bbq, firepit, picnic table, private deck overlooking the lake as well as potable water and flush toilets.
Full Service Cabins have a bathroom with shower.
Limited Service Cabins have access to shower facilities at the cabin registration building.

If you’re looking to experience that “oneness with nature” then sleeping in a tipi is for you!
Lodgepole pine poles, a canvas covering, and a raised deck under your feet that helps keep the interior area clean and dry. There are 4 single raised platform beds with mattresses for you to sleep on that may be re-arranged.
Tipis are equipped with: heater, lights, fan and electrical outlets, firepit, picnic table, private deck overlooking the lake. For cooking, you have access to the full service cookhouse that features: fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker and toaster, pots, pans, dishes, and a bbq,
Tipis have access to bathroom and shower facilities at the cabin registration building.
